Gustau Camps-Valls named Fellow of the American Geophysical Union (AGU)

Gustau Camps-Valls, physicist and UV professor leading the Image Processing Laboratory, has been named Fellow of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) for his pioneering work in applying machine learning to remote sensing and climate science. The distinction, awarded to only 52 scientists worldwide in 2025, recognises his global impact and leadership in Earth observation and AI. He will receive the honour this December at the AGU Fall Meeting in New Orleans, USA.
